Like a lot of people in the healing arts, my path to Rolfing was not a straight one, although it definitely was one of enlightenment. Born and raised in New Mexico, I came to California to get a college degree in economics from UC Santa Cruz. Deciding I liked it here, I moved to San Francisco and became an escrow officer, something I did for 15 years and somewhat enjoyed though it was extremely stressful. One day I looked at my life and realized I couldn't see myself maintaining such a pace, especially until retirement age. Stress can break you down both mentally and physically, and I was definitely feeling the effects. |

| Then something amazing happened. I discovered Rolfing. Growing up I had always been interested in movement and consciousness, and had dabbled in things like yoga and ballet. Yet Rolfing was something unlike anything I had encountered before. I learned that beliefs are held in the connective tissue and reflected in posture. And that Rolfing can help you make a major transition in your life by helping you feel more grounded in your body, supported by the earth. In fact, it's so powerful you can "Rolf" limiting beliefs right out of your body! My path to creativity and contentment was presented to me. In 1999, I spent 20 weeks in Brazil in preliminary Rolf training, completing certification in Rolfing and Rolf movement in 2000. As a complementary modality I got certified and started teaching yoga in 2001. A little later I fulfilled one of my dreams by opening up San Mateo Rolfing in order to help those like myself who are looking for fulfillment, pain relief, and a true life-changing experience. |

| Dwell in possibility. How I work | ||||||||||||||||
| Clients come to me for a variety of reasons, but the main one is for some form of substantial change, whether physical (pain relief) or mental/spiritual (changing careers, lifestyle). I take a holistic or "world view" approach to clients based on the osteopathic principle of "enhance the health". I find what's working and help to make it better. I get satisfaction helping with pain relief, but more gratifying is the incredible transformations I see take place on a daily basis. Find out how Rolfing can transform your life. Contact me today. I look forward to hearing from you! |
